Personal Possessions

Your personal property is covered up the amount stated in your policy schedule, with a single article and valuables limit applicable in each claim.

The cover is for the value or repair of any of your own personal baggage, which is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed. The cover is based on the value of the item when lost. If you are thinking of taking any valuable items away with you, please make sure you have adequate cover. You may find you will be covered for taken your belongings out of the country on your Household insurance.

In the event of loss or theft please make sure the local police are contacted within 24 hours and a police report is obtained. If your personal property is lost or damaged by your travel carrier it must be reported to them and a Property Irregularity Report obtained. Failure to obtain the necessary documentation will lead to rejection of the claim.
