Sports Travel InsuranceThere are a number of Hazardous Activities covered, as standard, on our policy at no extra premium. These are detailed in the policy wording under Grade 1 Sports and are covered as long as the activity is on an incidental, or one-off, basis. Should you want to partake in a higher grade activity, these are also listed in the policy wording. Going up to Grade 4, you can decide on the correct level of cover to suit your requirements. You need to add the higher grade before you travel as we cannot add this to your policy once you are out of the UK.
You need to be aware of any limitations that apply to these higher grades. These include an increased medical excess, a reduction in the sum insured under personal accident and the exclusion of personal public liability. Again, all this information can be found in the policy wording. With the increase trekking holidays, our policy has two different levels of cover. Grade 1 sports will cover you up to 2000 metres altitude. Should you trek to a higher altitude, Grade 2 will cover you to a height of 4000 metres. Whether you prefer low altitude orienteering or a more daring rock scramble, we have a level of cover to suit your needs. If you prefer your sporting activities to be water based, we can cater for this too. Dinghy sailing, yachting and canoeing can all be covered under the different sporting levels. Should you be more adventurous and like to spend your leisure time kitesurfing or white/black water rafting, check the different sports grades to see which will provide you with full cover. As well as full medical cover our policy will also look after your sports equipment whilst in transit, up to a maximum of £1000. |
